Welcome!

There's something interesting and valuable for everyone to do with the Polk County Dems, especially as the Election Season, approaches, with fairs, office, canvassing, and phoning. Because we're a small county, we need to plan to use our volunteer resources wisely. We appreciate whatever you are able to do.

What you can do right now (Spring 2012)

Sign up to receive emails (no more than one or two a month, see Privacy below)
Attend meetings, first Thursday of the month, Polk County Courthouse, Dallas 6:30 mtg at 7:00.
Learn about Kate Brown and Brad Avakian's accomplishments and plans so you can talk with others.
Think about how you'll be able to help during the Fair season and the 2012 Campaigns
Donate a small amount per month to keep our office and other outreach activities going. ($5, $10, $15... all help a lot)

Privacy: Only the organizations you choose (Polk County and/or Oregon Democrats) will have access to your information and will be able to create lists with your information. No other county, organization, or candidate has access to your information in list form unless you expressly indicate that preference. You will notice a box at the bottom of the form that gives you the choice of subscribing to the DPO newsletter and receiving information from them as well. You can indicate a wish to work for candidates on the form.

and ask to be placed on the mailing list. We keep a confidential list on the Secretary's home computer of all interested Polk County Democrats. Since our mailings are few, you will be contacted only once or twice a year, with major changes or annual fundraisers. We can let you know of particular volunteer opportunities that you have indicated an interest in.
